DIEGO MARADONA’S DOCTOR SAYS HE HAS ‘NOTHING TO HIDE’ AS POLICE RAID HIS HOME AND SURGERY.

Leopoldo Luque, Diego Maradona’s doctor, reports he did “everything he could” for the ex- football legend, who died of a shocking heart attack days ago.

Earlier in the day prosecutors in San Isidro, near Buenos Aires, had already opened investigations on the 39 year old, Dr Luque. Footages from his home and hospital showed the police raiding his apartment.

The investigation was opened after Maradona’s daughters Dalma, Gianinna and Jana showed concerns over the conduct of his treatment in his family home in Tigre, Argentina.

Dr Luque, Later on in an interview said amid tears;

“You wish to know what I’m responsible for?

“I’m responsible for having loved him, for taking full care of him, for having prolonged his life, for having enhanced it to the end.

“I’m proud of the whole work I’ve done. I have nothing to hide. I am at the disposal of justice.”

A preliminary post-mortem examination showed that the 60-year-old footballing legend died of “acute lung oedema and chronic heart failure”.

Maradona died of heart attack in his sleep on Wednesday aged 60, and was subsequently buried on Thursday at the Jardin de Paz graveyard at the outskirts of the Argentine capital.

However, investigations are still being carried out, including reports from witnesses and family members who were around at the time of his death.
